Archive for March, 2013

The last few months have been ridiculously busy. Its been one of those periods where you work a lot with very little to show. Grant writing, reviewing manuscripts for journals, etc.,

It is such a relief to have finally started some field work: back working blissfully at night.

But, before I head out for a much needed Easter break to Tasmania (!!), here is a cool ant. This was one of the first Myrmecia ants I got to see when I came to Australia – it was in my second week in OZ when I went for a walk along the Blue Mt’s. Surprisingly, I never managed to photograph these delightful ants. So here it is, in fond memory, Myrmecia nigrocincta, in full glory.
